Marble is a variation of limestone that was exposed to long periods of heat and pressure. Although not as durable as granite, with proper sealing and periodic maintenance, marble can be used in any area within residences. Due to its polished finish, marble is more prone to scratches. However, with professional care these scratches can be repaired easily.
